The whistling melody of "Scorpions" was not only a rock and roll. It was also a call for change in people's minds. We, the people of science, against our will, were divided on those from western and eastern side of "iron curtain". However, in every black there is a bit of white and in every white, there is a bit of black. A bit of white in the field of bioacustics were people like Edith Gullian from Bucharest, Zdenka Jelinkova from Prague and Mariniako and Lipovoi from Moscow. From this white, the wind of change has brought a cretaive core of scientists from former "east" who have decided to present you this special issue of "the Bible of noise people". Lubica Argalasova was an ignition needle of this creative core and Stephen Stansfeld was a brilliant adviser. Malgorzata, Gordana, Sonja, Jurgita, Lubica, Katarina are a powerful "dream team" which I had a pleasure to be the "coach" of, as a guest editor in "Noise and Health". I hope the readers will enjoy reading it.
